A note from an Anti- Narcissist to the Narcissist

Dear Narcissist people,

We are human being, normal being like you, (oops! mistaken) you don’t consider that so, we all are different by name and character, We all come from different background. We pursue variant education  The curiosity is that what makes you sing again and again about yourself. I mean it’s a good thing if you’re disclosing and sharing about yourself. But a human psyche doesn’t feel compatible after a particular duration of time if only thing you do is puke about yourself. I used the word 'puke' to describe its quantity and hence no offense intended. Come on, nobody wants to hear about the brands you got last weekend or, how many people desperately wants to take you on a  date.
Folks! In case you are confused about what a narcissist look like,
Here is what I have gathered about them with my experience ;)
Image taken from Google

  • §  Any narcissist will always try to suppress you by their words or action. They cannot see you being better than them. They somehow trick a way to put you down.

  • §  They never encourage you  to do something you want to. They may discourage you or stay dumb when any opportunity knocks you.

  • §  If  you have observed, a narcissist is always surrounded by rich and good looking people.  They never want to befriend with someone who does not have enough money or looks.

  • § I personally get negative vibes with a narcissist. As per my experience, I have also felt demotivated when I’m with them.

  • §   A narcissist can never see you succeeding in life or doing better than them. They are the king/queen of jealousy.

  • §  And trust me they ‘re the biggest liars. They are clever with their words. You’ll never know when they are lying. In short, you can never trust them and they will surely gonna ditch you someday.

Sometimes I feel how these people manage to brag about themselves all the time. I wonder why they cannot feel that the fellow in front of you is not at all interested in knowing about your long lists of appreciation.

Dear narcissist please understand that there are people who are far bold and beautiful than you both mentally and physically and they never utter nonsense. So please stop being super obsessed with yourself. Take a look out of you  and you will see there are much more you need to know…

P.S.- Based on personal experience

Your well wisher,
Anti-Narcissist

The Sleeping Paralysis Attack

Have you been through it? Or better to ask have you heard this weird thing? Most of you would say ‘NO’ , some would just say YES and few would nod like insane. For many of you who don’t know about sleeping paralysis, I would depict you my real experience. Imagine one night you want to take peaceful sleep as you usually do. There comes a phase when you are half asleep and half awake. And suddenly when you want to change your posture you realize that you are not able to move. Yes it’s like someone has clinched your hands and legs so hard that if you move a piece of it, you could break your bones. Yes it’s that scary. The fear of having someone in your room on your bed in the dark brings hell of goosebumps. And when you try to scream loud to someone, you are not able to utter a single word. The constant urge of moving your hands and legs makes you scream louder. You try and try again to shout, scream your heart out but that invisible bizarre energy pulls you back.

After constant trying and failing I realized there were tears in my eyes that continuously rolled down from the corner of my eyes. I felt I was breathing heavily, my heartbeat was fast and I was in complete sweat. When I opened my eyes , I was hallucinating…looking for that invisible thing that caged me and made me timid. I was scared enough to turn on the light and pick a glass of water. It took me ten minutes to realize what has happened to me. Even when I am writing this blog, the not at all good experience is haunting me.

I have experienced those for 2-3 times. But today also I’m not sure about what has happened to me. After few google searches and discussions with my friends I found that it was termed as Sleeping paralysis attack which rarely happens to people. Whatever it was, I would never want to experience it again. I also doubt if there was some supernatural presence in my room. I don’t know I’m not sure…

P.S-I'm writing this blog to know more about it from the people who have experienced it.

Not a good conversation with Autorickshaw Driver

Like any other week day, I was heading to my office in an auto.  But that morning was different and disappointing at the same time. The auto driver of my auto seemed little disturbed.  There was something shady about the auto driver which I somehow smelled. I think he was not happy with the routes which I suggested him to take due to peak timing traffic. For what he was blabbering something and giving me tough looks. For sometimes I resisted. Seeing no help I took out earphones from my bag and tried to avoid the situation. I saw he was still saying something. After 20 minutes or more I realized he was actually saying something to me. As soon as I removed my earphones, he started talking to me. He started sharing the reason of his grumpy mood. According to him, his wife was the reason for his bad mood. They had an argument over some household things the previous night which made him frenzy the next morning. At first I thought why is he discussing these things with me? As I was already getting late for my office and I had no interest in his talks I didn’t pay much attention to his married life quarrel stories till the time he said that he whacked his wife in the morning because she did not prepare tea for him

Image: taken from Google just for depiction
.I was completely shattered hearing this statement. Further he added ‘madam in villages it is common scenario', everyone raise their hands on wives. We have grown up seeing this and I don’t have patience to see that she is not serving me tea in the morning. Listening all these I became impatient. Now I was more attentive and wanted to hear more of this. He was so cool about saying all these as if these are daily activities, you know like we eat food or drink water. I mean the guy who was merely 23 and his wife 21 as he said ,married for one year are up to this. He was so positive about what he was saying that he obviously can’t see any flaw in his action. He exclaimed that there is a huge difference in couples(married) of cities and villages. According to him couples in city stays with affection but the scenario in villages are completely different and people are used to it. Hearing all these it occurred to me that –did raising hands on his wife solved the problem? I asked him the same. He had no answer. It meant obviously not. My mind was fraught with questions for him at that time. But somehow I refrained. It does not made me stop thinking about the society we live in, where we have grown up seeing and believing that the man who earns money and who is physically powerful than woman has the right to overpower them by using their hands.

This is another ugly face of domestic violence. The problem with this kind of violence is that women in our society has accepted that domestic violence is inseparable part of married life. Financial dependence of wives on their husbands has tied their hands not to defend them. They keep on suffering and eventually they get used to it. It is quite distressing that the situation is getting worse and will continue if we won’t speak up. It is important to change the way we think. It is the mindset that we have built that suppresses women and gives men the freedom not to think twice before doing ill-treatment.It is imperative to change that mindset that persist or else we will land nowhere.

Till that long auto ride I realised that you do not need to be literate to treat your spouse well. So, the issue doesn’t lie with you belonging from any city or village. Mistreatment or a better word 'domestic violence' does not solve any of the problems.

Now, let me be clear to you, I’m not a Misandrist, I just want to scream louder to make you listen that respect, not because she is woman but because she is human.

Turning 25!

Well I’m writing this blog in the most apt time. In two months I would be turning 25. Ohh my Gosh 25! Is it just a number or seriously you have to act mature ? Like you have just given your 12th grade exams and eventually you are 25 now. It is seriously kind of 'LIKE IT HAPPENED YESTERDAY' of Ravinder Singh.

This phase of life comes with so many complications. You have just completed your studies a year back and your first job brings you with plenty of hopes and optimism. In short your life just took off. You want to earn-spend-shop-explore-travel and your parents are like ‘let me find a perfect guy for you’. DUH! I think most of the girls of my age are annoyed hearing this from their parents.

This is the final call for our life. Especially for we girls, we need to think what we actually want from our life. Doesn’t matter how much you hate marriages, some fine day you have to say 'yes' to your parents and you would be wrapped in an expensive attire ready to get double with sorrows and happiness of course (sarcasm)

So, no perfect time is gonna come to push you with the things you want.
There is a big difference between spending your own money and depending on your husband for finances. I think no one wants to be the second one(not at least me)

I think all our dreams and desires becomes less difficult to achieve as a bachelorette. Still it takes efforts to get started with it. You need to be stubborn for life. Stubborn for -your kind of life. Stubborn to fulfill all your bucket list. Stubborn for dealing with your parents of what you want to become. Make them count the crucial things you are looking for in the coming years which are more important than getting married. It needs courage and confidence to say and to work on it.

We all know that a self-made woman is more respected than a woman who flaunts her husband’s money. Many years from now when we look back and recall that I have been there, done that..trust me that pang of satisfaction would surely gonna bring immense happiness to the soul. I hope there would not be any disappointments and regrets then. It’s not only about money ,it’s about being in the space you want to be, be the person you think you can be and taking that first step towards it. It would be discomforting, but that’s what life is all about. It starts at the end of our comfort zone. So buck up girls! Let’s keep our heels and head always high. I don’t want to miss my last train, do you?

P.S.—This piece I’m writing to motivate myself and to all girls of my age :)

If you are planning for Sunburn Goa…

If you are planning for Sunburn Goa…

Sunburn Goa is the biggest music festival in Asia. It grew bigger and better since it started in 2007. Nikhil Chinapa(pioneer of EDM in India) conceptualised the format of EDM (Electronic Dance Music) in India. Celebrated along the shore of Vagator beach, it is now a four days event in last days of December.
Sunburn Goa is all about Live Love Dance as it says!

Here I would be talking about things to keep in mind if you are the one planning for Sunburn Goa.
You should only spent money on Sunburn if your nerves are into EDM.
There is no place in Sunburn for the people who drop here with the idea of strolling around beaches. You would regret being there if you’re not a hardcore trance music lover. This festival shows you the different genre of music including trance, dubstep, house, tech house, trap music, psychedelic trance and more of this.

Worried about ticket pricing? Here is the solution.
Being the largest music festival of India , ticket pricing  for this fest is bit high comparatively other music festivals. But the good news is that now you can pay in EMIs. You book ticket of Sunburn from www.bookmyshow.com and they give you the option of paying in installments. It is important to make your mind asap for the fest so that you can book the ticket being an early bird.  As per my experience I would suggest you to book tickets asap and should not wait for the last moment rush. The more you wait, the more you pay. I never want you to make that *facepalm* expression. I was charged 8,950 INR as the total amount when I booked the ticket in early week of November 2015.People outside India can book tickets from www.viagogo.com. This is also the official international ticketing partner of Sunburn Goa.

Where to get the hardcopy of ticket?
Once you are done with the booking of tickets, your booking ID would be generated which you have to show on the ticket counter of the event ground at Vagator beach and they would give you the wristband as per your ticket category.
This wristband would be serving as the ticket for the entry into Sunburn ground. Recommendation is not to misplace or tamper the band as there is no replacement for the same.
Finally you are at the fest. Get that impulse! Nail it
Forget the world now. Those world-class music is made to take you high. Mesmerising ambience- flashy lights-with classy music all over the arena. There are many stage apart from the Sunburn main stage and there are DJs to get you go wild with the music they play. So now is the time to loose your grip.

 Hotness all around(Wink;)
Of course, when you are at EDM festival, you expect hot chicks around you. Guys need not to worry about that. You will find large flock of female music lovers who has made their way just to get that pang of EDM.

 Eww-that dusty sweat!
You will have to face different layers of dust all over you mixed with sweat. No matter how much time it took you to choose your coolest Sunburn attire from your closet, sadly it would all multiply with smelly sweat and dust .A place gathering approximately 4lac people from 42 countries drenched in music will obviously witness those bad odour dust and sweat wrapped all over you.

Bad news for non-smokers
It’s an EDM event, you will find people boozing and fagging almost everywhere. In fact in the main arena you may find a guy fagging weed till the last DJ plays. The whole area would smell weed dipped in dust and smog. So you have to be passive smoker in this scenario. My experience says go with the flow .After all you are here to experience the best EDM in the world live in front of you. So better ignore and live it up.

 Foodies- here we come!
Beer, snacks, pizzas ,here you will find everything you love but unfortunately they will rip you off with the price. I would suggest you to make yourself full for at least four hours before you come. Even buying the water bottles can be the ouch moment.

Caution : You never know who is the pocket picker.
It is highly recommended that you don’t carry any expensive stuffs with you. Mobile phones need to be specially taken care off. Of course, you don’t want to sob at the end of a sexy show. It looks funny when the phone hunting sessions starts at the end of the show. You don’t want to be the one right??

Those splendid Sunburn After Dark Parties…
The good news is that parties never ends at Sunburn .If you’re a party animal, you need not to worry. Sunburn has everything you wish for. You can directly go to Sunburn after dark parties that too for FREE!! Yes, you heard it right. These are the perks of being a part of the largest music festival. You just have to show your Sunburn wrist band and they welcome you with open arms.

Get some Desi feel at Sunburn too
Not expecting here?? Then you’re wrong!Folks! If you’re a street food lover, then it’s  definitely for you guys. You’ll not believe but there are several vendors and ram shackles outside the Sunburn arena which gonna serve you with the typical street food. So what’s wrong in taking a bite of pav-bhaji at Sunburn ;)

P.S.- I went to Sunburn Goa 2015 on a road trip from Delhi to Goa . These are the information as per my experiences. Queries are welcome:)

*Get some time from your drudgery life and Live Love Dance*
